When feeling supported as a clinician is important.

Starting a business is hard and being in private practice can feel a bit lonely at times. Having questions on a variety of topics and not knowing which direction to turn to for answers can feel overwhelming. In addition to offering EMDR specific consultation, I also provide general consultation.

It can be scary actually leaning into being your own boss and stepping out of the norm of what a practice ‘should’ look like and creating a business that works for you and your lifestyle. If you’re looking for a full program or course to complete, that’s not here…because that’s not what works for me and my business. If you’re looking for an ‘as needed’ place to consult, then I’m your gal. And if a more structured program would be beneficial, I know some pretty amazing people to recommend.

Regardless of the focus of any of my consulting, my approach is to promote YOUR professional identity and competence while providing supportive and honest feedback. Be sure to take a look at my specialties and feel free to contact me via email to discuss fit and scheduling.

There are many different reasons a therapist seeks general consultation. Things I tend to hear:

  • “I have a tough case I’d like to consult on.”

  • “I’m having a hard time filling my caseload despite my marketing efforts.”

  • “I want to transition to an all-online practice but unsure where to even start.”

  • “I’d like to find more work/life balance. How can I manage a business and travel?”

  • “I want to brainstorm more revenue streams to diversify and avoid clinical burnout.”

  • “I’m in a solo practice and want to figure out how to be more involved with other therapists.”

  • “I’m having a hard time grounding myself at work and would like to learn more mindfulness and resourcing skills for me and my clients.”
